If there’s one thing that every human on the planet has in common, it’s emotions. They’re what make us human. They’re what make life exciting, joyful, and fulfilling, but also difficult, stressful and confusing.
ALL of my clients struggle with the latter – varying levels of depression, anxiety, and other challenging emotions that leave them feeling overwhelmed, depleted, alone, and not knowing quite what to do about it. Many of them struggle with weight loss which almost always includes some of those derailing emotions as well.
My passion is to help them figure out exactly HOW they feel, WHY they feel that way, and then WHAT to do about it. Developing self-awareness is key.
Together, like detectives, my clients and I explore the pattern of their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and self-limiting beliefs, and what their root cause is in order to help them move into a more empowered state of mind and being. From this place they can create the experience of life they truly want.
I have an integrated and holistic therapeutic approach, my philosophy being that each person is unique and deserves individualized treatment and goal-setting. And, my life experience adds a richness to my counselling practice that I could not have learned from any textbook.
My number one priority is to empathically listen, form a strong connection and relationship with my clients built on trust, and to provide a warm, safe and non-judgmental environment where they feel accepted and comfortable talking about whatever is on their mind.
